Barreled Souls is another one of my parents favorites, and thankfully, they’re pup friendly! Well, they’re dog friendly outside. The outside space is comfortable. The brewery itself is a house that has a law firm on the first floor, and the brewery is in the basement. The outdoor space is like a comfortable back yard. There are Adirondack chairs, tables, fire pits, and a trailer serving delicious smash burgers.
My humans say the stouts and sours are their favorites, but they like all of the offerings. There’s enough grassy area outside of the patio for puppy relief too. The only bar is inside, so solo parents will have to be comfortable leaving your pup outside for a few minutes to order.
Pro tip: Saco (where Barreled Souls is located) is one of the few places in Southern Maine that has dog-friendly beaches in the summer. All public beaches in Saco allow leashed dogs during the peak summer season. Off-leash is permitted in the offseason. So Barreled Souls is perfect for a post-beach beer with your pup!
