Fox Farm Brewery

Fox Farm is one of those “bucket list” breweries for a lot of craft beer geeks. The beer has something of a legendary reputation, the brewery isn’t easy to get to for most of us, and any time it turns up in the Boston area on draft or in cans, it sells out quickly.

But lucky for us, it’s not a huge detour on the way home from New York City. And also lucky for us, they’re dog friendly outside. They take reservations for their tables, but walk-ins are welcome and easily accommodated. Frankly, you really don’t need table or chair here. The property is gorgeous and there’s ample space to throw a blanket in the grass or bring some camping chairs and setup under a tree. On a nice day, it’s paradise for pups.

The beer will meet (or even exceed) expectations. It’s phenomenal. And I was happy laying in the grass chewing on sticks and watching other people and dogs. It was the most relaxed I’ve been at a brewery to date (and I’ve been to a bunch!).

Pro tip: Pick up food before you arrive. We ordered from the Plum Tomato which is 3 minutes away and it was great!
